The conference on design that was held in Dresden sparked a lively debate how design influences the culture around us. Is the design just an aesthetic appendage to our lives or does it has any deeper influence on the world? How is the culture reflecting the design and vice versa?
Three influential and well known designers Candice Kershaw, Michael DeVoss and Michelé Dupoint tried to give their view on the matter from three distinct perspecive – Candice Kershaw the award winning architect; Michael DeVoss a world renown media strategist and chief designer at Sonogue magazine and Michelé Dupoint, who has been working in fashion industry for over 3 decades, all gave compelling arguments on how the design is actually intertwined with our lives and how culture reflects the design.
